Phil has been involved in things creative his entire life.  The former owner and creative director for a full-serviced event planning business in Rome, Georgia, called "The Special Touch" he planned events that ranged from intimate in-home cocktail parties to weddings to an al fresco brunch for 1500 people. For the past 10 years he served as wedding coordinator for his church in Atlanta coordinating about 250 wedding during that time. Phil has also had experience as a floral designer.

Recently retired from the Georgia Department of Education where he coordinated school counselors and social workers in the state, he was often called on to help plan and coordinate social events for the Department, including national meetings hosted in Georgia.

An accomplished cook, Phil has studied at Ursula's Cooking School in Atlanta, the nation's largest independent cooking school.  The highlight of his culinary training came, however, in 1998 when he studied for a week under Julia Child in a 15-member cooking class in Venice, Italy.

Phil is excited about devoting full-time to something that he loves.
